Bottled. Poured clear, bright golden with an easily-resuscitated white head. The aroma picked up grapefruit and herbal notes over bready malts.. a touch malt-centric, but still well-balanced.. very approachable. The flavor found fresh lemon zest, grapefruit, and piney bitterness over soft biscuit and bready malts.. balance was solid, and it went down remarkably smoothly. Lighter-bodied with just enough carbonation to keep it moving through the palate.. this was some good stuff.

Pours a crystal clear light golden color. White head of 3/4 of and inch. Poor head retention. Wonderful bouquet of grapefruit and candied fruit. Average mouthfeel. Nice, clean grapefruit that yields to pine and finishes with candied fruit. Overtones of lemon citrus throughout. Very nice APA. A cheap beer from Trader Joe’s you say? Maybe, but Firestone Walker is responsible for this inexpensive gem.

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. from Trader Joe's, poured a clear amber color with a little white head. Aroma is hoppy with a unit of malt. Taste is pleasantly balanced and the hop finish is perfect for a Pale Ale. Only negative is a slight slight soapy aftertaste but it add "character". A six pack for $5.99, can't beat it, awesome bang for your buck. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle pours clear gold with a thin nearly bright white head. The light aroma comes across rather vague with a sense of bitter hops and a wafer thin layer of sweet malts. Dang, this is a rather tasty Pale. It delivers a nice grapefruit like citrus bitterness to start and then picks up a tad of floral hops and a snippet of citrus hop flavor before a bit of sweet malts and a very faint amount of cereal graininess take this to the finish. It leaves behind a pleasing citrus after taste. Nice Pale. If I can find some fresh I’ll have to get more, but that’s the trick.

Pours pale yellow into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Caramel and marshmallow aromas. Soft with sweet pine and caramel upfront turning to biscuit before the medium length resin finish.
