1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
50cl PET bottle from Rimi, Riga. Clear dark brown not much of a head to speak of. Aroma of caramel with bready and malty notes. Feels more like a kvass flavoured soda than the real thing. Not quite my cup of tea, but drinable enough.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle from European Shop in Rotherham - can’t believe I’m rating this, I only Googled Kvasa to find out what I’d ended up buying when I thought there was nothing interesting available, so walked out with a random European soft drink and ended up on this page. Pours a cola coloured reddish noir with a thin soon gone head. Nose is a weird malt cum raisins with the taste similar to cola with a malty aftertaste. Anyway, going back to Google now to find out wtf kvasa is now.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
PET bottle from local European store
Sparkling ruby chestnut with laing of offwhite head. Malty with sultanas, dusty flour on the nose. Very fizzy, very sweet but not exactly unpleasant. Sweetened coke.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle at CBC Clerkenwell, thanks to Jack! Honestly quite disgusting, this beer (?) smells, tastes and feels like a boiled mix of coke and brown sugar caramel. Tough to drink by the ounce, it’s more of a ticking experience.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle picked up from Alytus, consumed @ Paul’s birthday. The pour’s deep brown with a small head. The nose is coca cola, brown sugar. Moldy bread. The taste is very sweet toffee, sugar, some weeds. More bread. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, a bit too sweet for my tastes.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle courtesy of jackl.... It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is cardboard, wood, toast and burnt caramel. The taste is caramel, cola, intense sweetness, sugar and processed store-bought cake with a sweet, sugary finish. Light body and moderate to high carbonation. Wow....! Disgustingly sweet. Not an enjoyable drinking experience.
