Big thick white head. Cloves, bananas, yeasty bubblegum nose. Pretty nice stuff for being 6 months overdue. Med full mouth with lots of bananas. I would love to try fresh from the brewery.

<i>330 mL bottle &#40;05.9.27 on the label, sampled Late February 2006&#41;: </i>pale, hazed lemon. A steady stream of large bubbles feeds the small, loose bubbled film on top. Light wheaty aroma with hints of clove, lemon grass and other spices. Fizzy palate with a sour-doughy effervescence. Soft and slightly sweet citrus rinds round out a pretty nice brew. Bottle, a bit past its expiration date. Light yellow, hazy. Rich, sweet wheaty aroma that is surprisingly good. A bit sour and sweet banana-clove flavor, slightly lactic. Not bad at all. Thick mouthfeel.

A hazy golden straw color with a small white head. A wheaty/spicy scent, very light on the citrus. Almost a bubble-gum quality to it. A sweet wheaty flavor with very mild banana/clove flavors. As in the aroma, the citrus profile is mild. Has a crisp tart finish. A nice example of the style from Japan.
