The head is ok, the body blond-grey and cloudy. It smells yeasty, creamy, malty, aromatic. The taste is malty, yeasty-creamy, bit strange, natural. Ok and refreshing. 12/11/11/11/11/11 3.4

Medium white head. Slightly hazy yellow body with carbonation. Earthy dusty oily aroma with nutty floral notes. Classic Lithuanian aroma. Sweet-dryish earthy dusty grainy taste with sugary orangey mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish orangey mealy powdered sugar aftertaste with herbal notes. Lovely. Drinkable, complex, and very Lithuanian. (0.5l bottle, from Bamb Alynė, Vilnius.)

0.5 l bottle @ Rimi in the old town of Vilnius. Looks nice and a nice taste too. Not a great beer but better than just the average lager.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2012 0.5 bottle. Transparent liquid of orange color, with a very small, creamy, white head. Rich aroma with mostly fruity scents, a lot of vanilla with some hay and a delicate biscuit note. Taste is definitely sweet, though it is not a typical malty sweetness, rather soft and uninsistent. Body is medium, texture creamy with an oily touch to it. Carbonation is best defined as pretty soft yet easily detectable. The aftertaste is splendid, soft but distinct and clear, delicately sweet with a tad of sourness, medium long or even shorter than that, but complements the taste perfectly. Resembles a biscuit limped in milk tea. All in all the beer is pretty fine, not extraordinary but achieves great result with its simplicity. The only flaw in this case is wateriness.

In short: A nice thirst blonde beer, a superior accomplishment in simplicity.
How: Bottle 500ml at Bambalyne, Vilnius, Lithuania
The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a small white head with good retention
In long: Nose is fresh hay, some fruity yeast esters and light notes of grassy noble hops. Taste is soft hay, chewy crackers, some fresh citrus fruits, some dry grass, a mild citrusy bitterness, almost no sweetness sensation. A bit yeasty. Many soft bubbles make for a very nice pillowy mouthfeel. A simple but very nice thirst beer. Traveling to Lithuania in the winter to experience Šviesusis and other type of traditional ales might seem a bit extreme, but I’m willing to do a lot of things to drink good beers, anything really, even some things that haven’t yet been proven to be anatomically possible.
