Septante 5 was a beer brewed by Brasserie Terken. When the brewery has definitively closed, Brasserie Grain d'Orge has bought the brand.

In accordance with the original recipe, Septante 5 ambrée is the result of a rigourous selection in malts and hops.

Clear amber color, steady white head, lace. Light aroma of fruit candy. Light to medium-bodied. Quite thin palate for this palate. Rosee wine with caramel and pear. Less alcoholic feeling than in the blonde version. Quite plain, perharps ideal with food.

KyotoLefty (6964) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 23, 2010
75 cl bottle from a supermarket in Paris. Slightly strong tasting, fruity, with noticeable alcohol, and much sweeter than any beer of this type I have tried. Alcohol and hops can’t balance it out. Not perfect, a touch too much on the sweet side for me, but a nice beer. I read that this is a bottom fermented beer, and it does taste a bit like a bock, with its rich malt. The label says it is top fermented, though. Nice enough, though there are better.
