so here’s the thing: I do not like caramel. it reminds of my antonia by del borgo, which I like, but the taste is more intense. lingering even. it’s a double but the sweetness is irritating. maybe better in winter!

330 ml. bottle sampled @ In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces #4. Wow, this was expensive. Dark amber, little tanned head. Nose is big grapefruit, pine, big hop mixed with very chewy malts, caramel,… Taste is huge pine resin mixed bitter grapefruit peel, chewy lightly surpy malts, caramel, some sugar,… Quite bitter. Chewy malts. Quite a solid malt-forward DIPA, quite impressive for a non-beer country to the best of my knowledge.

Aroma of malt, caramel, fruits, orange, grapefruit, hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a medium bitter finish. Nice full body. I generally prefer my DIPA with a little more bitterness and a little less sweetness, but as it stands this is a delicious brew from a promising brewery.

From bottle at Wildeman. Hazy copper, small offwhite head. Caramel and intensely hoppy aroma, full of pine and citrus. Complex caramel, nutty flavours with good balancing hop bitterness. The best of Greece

Bottle shared by Cuso. Pale amber body with white head. Aroma is malts, bisquits with some fruits and pines. Taste is malty, fruity with hints of spices. Aftertaste is bitter well balanced by some malt sweetness. Nice one.
