Bottled 11/05/13. A golden beer with a good white head. A grassy hoppy nose which proceed to the mouth where they are joined by malts which tend towards butteriness. It’s a reasonable lager but fairly plain.

Hazy orange color, good white head. Orange-citric aroma, quite grainy. Light to medium-bodied. Grassy, sweet malty, earthy-spicey hoppyness. A bit harsh.

(Thanks, Nic!)
Fairly pale gold, with ring head. (3-)
Aroma: Light fruits, a bit of pineapple. (5+)
Fruits in the mouth, pleasant but slightly messy. Taste is weak.
Strong carbonation.
Pineapple and coconut in the finish, and a touch of earthiness.
Something’s missing here, but this does have some good hops in it.
Unusually, Phil did not share this.

bottle from Oddbins Tunbridge Wells. What a surprise - a Greek beer at this little bottgle shop. Clear golden colour, mid-sized white head. Lovely bitter-sweet caharcter, malty base with lots of grassy hops - somewhere near a good Bohemian Pilsener. Delicioius and very moreish!

Bottle at home. Has a clear, golden straw colour with an off-white medium head. Aroma of fruity hops, hay and some bubble gum. A little diacetyl in the back. The flavour is similar and is light and fresh with nice hops lurking around. Balanced. Slick and light mouth feel, and a light to medium bitterness. A fresh and well hopped pilsener. Nice.

Douberd (1702) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUL 30, 2013
Bottle, 500 ml, bought in Greece. Poured into a pilsner glass. ABV 5% Ridiculously sized head, my glass became full of foam as I poured the beer in it. Is collapsing quite fast though, so I was able to fill up the glass. Soapy and thick foam that leaves heavy lacing on the glass. Colour of the beer is a golden yellow one, with lots of activity in it. Malts on the aroma that smell very fresh, some straw too, hops and citrus notes. Malts on the taste as well and pretty much the flavour follows the aroma. After the malts and straw the citrusy hops are kicking in, making this one very very bitter, at least for a pilsner, and with a very long duration too. Thin body, good carbonation, a little below average I’d say. Really great pilsner and if this is so bitter I can only imagine how their ACE IPA will be.

Sakra dobrý netypický pilsener, chuťově skoro až do svrchně kvašeného ejlu. Velké překvapení, už se těším na dalšího septem piváka. Lahváč dovežený z Řecka.
