A black pour with a small khaki head. Somewhat roasty, but also fairly acidic. Some dark fruits, a little dark chocolate, and some coffee, too. The flavor is a bit acidic, too. Roasted malt, dark fruits, and someplace a sweetness. A touch of coffee and a mild bitterness to the beer.

Draft at brewery. Pours very dark brown, almost black with a thin sandy white head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor is milk chocolate, some sweet and roasted malt with a dry malty aftertaste. A little dark fruit in the finish. Great mouthfeel, a very nice porter.

Draft. Black beer w ith a light tan head. Light roasty, coffee aroma. Coffee, roast, and malt flavor. Medium body. Coffee, roast, and malt linger. Some chocolate, but didn’t get as much as others.

~Pours black with diminishing off white head.
~Smokey roasted malt scent.
~Taste is smokey and chocatey bitter. Some sweetness, but not much.
~ Dry and smooth
~ This is a decent porter. It didn’t really have anything that stood out to me.

Draft at WCBF 2008. Black/brown color with a huge tan head. Semifloral aroma. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Chocolate notes over near toasted malt. Finish is fairly dry.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2009 On tap at the brewery. roasted malt. pretty dark for a porter, enough chocolate to make it seem like a porter and not a stout. a little watery but not bad. straight forward textbook porter with a little bit of tasty hops. probably the best of their regular beers on tap.

On draught. Tasted during trip to California. Black colour notes of roasted malt in tha nose. Nice texture, great example of a english porter. Nice flavour of roasted malt and also without too much bitterness.
