Commercial Description:
Porters historically were first brewed in London England. Our Black Oak Porter has a wonderful malt texture and is brewed with imported English floor malted barley and British Crystal and black Malts. English Northern Brewer and Kent Golding hops balance the finish.

On tap at the brewery. roasted malt. pretty dark for a porter, enough chocolate to make it seem like a porter and not a stout. a little watery but not bad. one dimensional but solid.

Draft. Black beer w ith a light tan head. Light roasty, coffee aroma. Coffee, roast, and malt flavor. Medium body. Coffee, roast, and malt linger. Some chocolate, but didn’t get as much as others.

Sampled at West Coast Brew Fest ’08 ~Pours black with diminishing off white head. ~Smokey roasted malt scent. ~Taste is smokey and chocatey bitter. Some sweetness, but not much. ~ Dry and smooth ~ This is a decent porter. It didn’t really have anything that stood out to me.

Draft at WCBF 2008. Black/brown color with a huge tan head. Semifloral aroma. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Chocolate notes over near toasted malt. Finish is fairly dry.

On draught. Tasted during trip to California. Black colour notes of roasted malt in tha nose. Nice texture, great example of a english porter. Nice flavour of roasted malt and also without too much bitterness.
