Amber colored pour with an off-white head. Sweet toffee malt and toasted bread. Some floral hops, a bit of yeast, and fruit esters. There’s a nice fruitiness to the palate along with a light bitterness, some floral hops, and toasted bread. A hint of toffee, mild yeast, and perhaps a hint of grass to go with the fruit esters.

Pours a clear copper color with a one finger head that quickly recedes to a small island of bubbles in the middle of the glass. Fairly weak aroma of grain, grass and caramel. Grain and caramel hit the tongue followed by the spice of noble hops. A nice grainy, dry finished that’s almost overtaken by the hops. The hops seem a bit on the high side of the style, but is appreciated. Very easy drinking and sessionable.

Tap at the West Coast Brewfest as Tioga-Sequoia Tamarack Amber Lager. Pours amber. Flavor is moderately malty and mildly hoppy.

Very malty. has a darker appearance than I was expecting. flavor is super malty and pleasant, alcohol flavor pops up even tho it’s low alcohol. sort of flat, i wish it had more zing in the mouthfeel. no hops. one of the better sequoia brews i’ve had though.

New on tap at Sequoia. A little early [? it isn’t quite October yet] Dark amber brown with a red light shining through. Nice cream colored head. Some lace down the glass. This seems like a pretty good standard Octoberfest, malty aroma and taste. And could be a good session beer. Easy drinking. I say this all the time but it IS true, .. another great addition from brewer Kevin --thanks!
