Draught at Főzdefeszt III, Budapest. Pale amber coloured, small off-white head, mild honeyish fruity nose. Sweet malty, light caramel and subdued fruity taste with notes of caramel and hint of alcohol and pepper in the finish. Didn’t like it.

Draught at the F-Fest. Dark golden-amber body with a small white head. Very subtle malty nose. Metallic sweet honeyish nose. Malty, sweet yeasty taste with notes of caramel, grainy, but no real vinuous notes... odd - will rerate one day. Ok beer overall.

On tap at Szimpla Kert, Budapest (Főzdefeszt Party, 2012.01.14.). This decoctation was barrel-aged! Clear brownish orange color - like a great old Tokaji aszú - with creamy pillowy head. Komplex but weak odor. A bit sour, ligh winy-barrely aroma. Light sour taste with hiding sweetness - I expected sweeter, but the little sourness reminds me to the taste of wine grapes. Medium body with smooth texture and light carbonation. Light sour biting finish. It’s a good beer, but it should have more intensive aroma and taste. Reminding a winy mood, but it doesn’t have the specialness what a real Tokaji aszú have. I expected more, but I’m not disappointed. Nice try, so let’s go on!

Taste is smooth and silky. Fruity and caramel and hints of the Tokaji wine. Not bad, but won’t be my favourite one...

Draught at Kortyolda, Miskolc, Hungary.
Clear amber colour with big fluffy white head. Dry earthy malty aroma with moldy fruitiness. Dry moldy cellar, malt and mild fruitiness in very dry flavour.

Aroma of grapes (thanks to Aszú base) and malt. Taste is balanced between wine-like, malty sweeetness (and cereals) and hoppy bitterness. Very nice brew, interesting approach to the beer.

On tap at Főzdefeszt festival, Budapest. This courious beer made with aszú is a good fit of beer and wine. You can smell the raisin and the wine with your nose since the first moment. The color is light reddish brown, with little nice foam. You can find the taste of the aszú-like wines and raisin in your mouth, but this is not intrusive, it is well balanced with the malt and karst water. Nice fruit beer.
