3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy amber with a thick, light-tan head. The aroma is mostly sweetness, but the aroma is very light - not a lot there. Flavor has an upfront mix of sweetness and moderately caustic bitterness. I am tasting a lot of fruit candy. All of this sweetness is decently balanced by bittering hops and some citrus flavor. However, the sugary flavor gets to be too much before finishing a 22oz bottle.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Otto’s. Very strong strawberry aroma with hints of caramel and and oak. Clear amber with good off white head. Still strawberry in the flavor but moderate bitterness coming out, grapefruit-aluminum (would be unpleasant if stronger). thin and a little flat in the mouth. bitter but rounded finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle:   Cloudy amber, large frothy white head, fairly nice lacing.   Very sweet grapefruit nose, slight earth/soil in the background.   Pronounced earthiness right up front, rindish but not biting, a tad sweet to start, with the hops bringing up the rear.   All this time I get a musty basement/wet dirt background.   A little citrusy too.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Mild hop bitterness on the exit, enough sweetness to balance it out.   Could use less of that earthy/soily aspect tho.   Otherwise, pretty tasty.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ Davis St Tavern, Portland. Copper in color with an off white head. Aroma of sweet caramel and a bit of citrus. Flavor is overly sweet and sugary with some hop bitterness hiding in there. Medium body with average carbonation and a syrupy, flabby mouth feel. This seemed very underattenuated, did not like.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Always stoked on some random brewery you’ve never heard of... Cloudy orange. Grapefruity nose. Super resinous palate, quite hoppy. My friend wasn’t so sure what to think about this one until I told him with the 105 IBU’s that was what they were going for. Pretty good.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
caramel body. strange yeast and cheesecloth nose, dirty phenols and egg shell notes. acidic and sharp approach hints that it’s just hop acid but mid-palate and finish see an acidic continuation; harsh malt and possible infection. strange soggy mold flavor, which i’m growing tired of.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle... Poured copper/burnt orange with a white head. Aroma had dirty, resinous, spicy hops with a tad bit of soapiness going on. Drier, well carbonated, lots of bitterness and with not much malt to back it. This is a "HOP MONSTER." Piney, citrus, dirt, and a some fruity yeast notes. It’d be interesting if they made a fresh hop version of this same recipe.
