Bottle. Hazy dark amber-copper. Big head. Strong hop aroma. Seems too clean for a big IPA. A little medicinal in the aftertaste. Gets more and more funky. Hops keep going in weird directions, eucalyptus, light cough syrup. Some woody citrus. Maybe it needs more malt for balance.

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Light hops aroma with a malt backing that was light and sort of bready. This was a average IPA. Could be much better.

Bottle at Beermongers. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. The aroma was lots of fruity hops, light grain. The flavor though was a much bigger dry earthy grain mix, something a bit odd in there, caramel and candies, light hop bitterness. A bit odd though I can’t put my finger on it. Decent.

Draft at ncbc. Pours a murky dark amber with a loose tan head. Creamy medium body. Mild sweet nose. Pine and brown bread mid palate. Crisp resinous finish.

From a 22oz bomber poured into a pint glass. Glass was kind of warm because it just came out of the dishwasher so I kind of screwed up when I poured the beer. Carbonation was a little high but probably because of the warm glass. The good thing was the aromatics were released immediately! Killer hop aroma along with a nice maltinesss. Flavor is awesome. Rich malts along with a wallup of hoppiness. It coated my mouth real well. The finish was clean and persistent. Well done IPA.

Not sure what some tasters were looking for here. Pours reddish amber with a retaining off white head. Drinks well with apricot and sweeter fruit than many west coast IPA’s. Excellent pine resin and hop bitterness on the finish. They don’t all taste like Racer 5 guys...

Sweeter caramel aroma, something seems a little off as well. Some hops- but they are generic hop smells. Perhaps a little pepper or earth. Pours amber, lasting head and lace. Sweet up front, caramel, a little sugar, some hop flavor, bitterness is medium, pepper earth, something a little weird there as well. Not as bad as it sounds, it was drinkable, but I guess I was expecting more. Stupid me. Fuck.

with an IBU of 105, i expect the taste bud twinge i get from my wife’s spaghetti right from the initial sniff. didn’t happen. hoppiness is there but doesn’t linger long enough.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a dark cream colored head. Grapefruit and pine aroma with light tropical fruit. Pine and grapefruit lingers with light caramel and light tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Pine and grapefruit lingers with light earth, light caramel, and some citrus rind.
