A pale golden ale that is both super crisp and super hop forward with a refreshing mouthfeel and a summer friendly 6% abv. Mosaic & simcoe hops lend tart blueberry and fragrant pine to a pleasingly bitter dandelion finish. We wanted the hops to be the star in this seasonal offering taking its name from both the hop plant, Humulus Lupulus, and its light color and cloud-like feel, nimbus.

*Pairs well with a wide range of foods from roast chicken to burgers to fish and chips, appropriate cheeses could range from a mild blue such as Gorgonzola to a traditional cheddar or Derby with Sage.

Had this on tap at the Seventh Son brewery. Medium amber color with thin head. Aroma is loads of fresh hops. Flavors are light on malt, but heavy on the hops. It’s almost too much, but not quite. Light to medium mouthfeel with a fairly dry finish. Enjoyable pale ale with a kick. If you like hops, you’ll like the Super Pale ale.

16 ounce can, guess this was canned within the past week or 2. It was the most recent batch they received at my local store this week. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a hazy golden/orange color with about a half inch off-white head that stayed around for a long time. There’s a good amount of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like citrusy (grapefruit) and pine hops, along with some light tropical fruit. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also the addition of some light blueberries and sweet malt. However, this brew is all about the hops, it really is a "Super Pale Ale" like it says on the can. Mouthfeel/body is medium, its a bit slick and has moderate carbonation. It’s a good selection to be one of their first canned brews. Hopefully they’ll keep canning this one, I’d buy it again. $9.99 a 4-pack.

Can to tasting glass at Ohio Brew Week 2014. Aroma includes grapes and blueberries; initial sweetness in taste quickly followed by bitter grasslands and then well-balanced aftertaste.

Tasted from draft. Pours a clear amber with white head. Good lacing. Aroma is earthy and pine. Taste is big time pine hops. Some earthy tones and a mild sweet backbone. Nice clean bitterness throughout. Above average pale ale/IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a transparent orange with foamy off-white head. Smells of piney and mildly fruity hops with a light pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells, but a bit more bitter than fruity (and still some pine as well). Average on the palate. Enjoyable.

Draft at CBWF 2014. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate complex citrus and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Taster on tap at Cincinnati Winter Beer Fest (CWBF) 2014. Orange, clear color. Little white head. Good rows of lace. Awesome, big grassy hop aroma. Citrus. Mild bready malt. Moderate bigger bitter taste. Little sweetness. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. Fantastic, super smooth IPA. Very satisfying level of hop.

While the coffee infused Thunderkiss is a unique IPA this is your typical Midwestern session handle. A pleasing profile means it isn’t hard to finish though it does not have the staying power of the cream of the crop. That said beers like this keep places in the black for a good reason. Get a pint next time you are in the Columbus area.

Aroma / Appearance - A honey bronze base rests underneath a stiff white head. Almonds, honey, and sweet resin infuse the air with a citrusy vibe.

Flavor / Palate - Resin, powdered sugar, and fresh orange slices trail across the tongue with a burst of flavor. Settling into a bitter finish this is a pretty typical IPA. A little heavy to drink all the time it is nonetheless reflective of a brewery which understands how to do the core styles well.

Draft at brewery, very nice pale ale, big bitterness and flavor. Packs a punch for an APA. Impressed
