3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Seventh Son. Pours a dark brown to black color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, some chocolate, resiny and citrus hops, moderate bitterness, decent though unspectacular black IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Poured black color with an average frothy tan head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex toasted malt and hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at brews, pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is light pine hops, but that’s about it, its weak. Taste is mildly roasty with a small pine hoppy bite that dies fast. This brew isn’t bad, but in my opinion it needs improved.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at Jackie O’s as part of Ohio Brew Week. Brownish-black pour with a medium foamy khaki head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of roast malt, hops and pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a resiny hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
