(300108) SHIG (1382), Oberoffligen, Germany Feb 11, 2008 Bottle: Poured a yellow golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet and grassy. Taste is wet with grains and a sweet fruit along with malts. omhper (10141), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 22, 2007 Botled. Clear pale golden, small head. Mustardy spicy nose. Sweet with clean mouthfeel. Lightly fruity and spritzy with some crystal malt flavour. Pleasant, but rather one-dimensional. MiP (4843), Flensburg, Germany May 2, 2007 Bottle, 6%. Sweet, slightly fruity aroma. Sparkling dark golden colour. Big, stable, creamy white head. The flavour has some uncompromising bitterness, but is balanced by a slight fruitiness. The bitterness is like some German lagers. High carbonation, OK mouthfeel. Does not take particularly top fermented. Refreshing on a summer’s day. sayravai (3029), Helsinki, Finland Mar 16, 2007 (Bottled) Clear golden with a medium, lacy, partly lasting head. Pilsenery aroma of grassy, mildly buttery hops. Grassy-hoppy, lightly malty flavor with mild acidity. Quite well hidden alcohol. Medium-bodied, reasonably refreshing palate with foamy but balanced carbonation. A simple but drinkable, Czech-pils-like Belgian blonde. Why this is classified as saison is beyond me.
