Along with the other Sezoens, one of very few top-fermented, authentic regional beers by Martens, not easy to find outside of its home town. Warm amber colour, delicate, subtle malt character, caramelly, with a certain complexity in the finish; also tasted as an old beer and I must say, ageing did it well, compared with the young version. Seems to have a certain Altbier influence, as the late Michael Jackson justly observed.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy brown color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is fruity hints of caramel and roasted malt. Flavor is pretty much the same. Medium bodied and carbonated. Alcoholic finish, but ok.

Countbeer (4539) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - APR 30, 2013
Draught: Medium sized, vast and quick disappearing white foamy head, leaves a sticky lacing on top of a cloudy orange colored beer. Aromas of hops, peach, spices, soap, honey, lighy manure, light sour. Flavours of hops, spices like cloves, malts, creamy, some creamy barley malts, light fruit and spicy herbs. Aftertastespicy, barleys, hops, cream, light foral and light sticky spices hints. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture Very nice, some spices and hops and malts, balanced. Bit like a spiced barley wine On a side note: bartender told me it’s brewed at Kerkom. Not sure if this is an Amber Ale though.

Clear amber color, white head. Malt and herbs in nose. Sweet, rather simple taste. Slick, flat and boring on palate. Just too fruity, too sweety. B@BF.

Bottle @ home. Clear copper / dark orange colored beer, small but vast off-white head. Smell malts, a little roasty, like a mix between a stout and a dark amber. Taste light coffee, malts, grains, yeast and some spices maybe? Suitable carbonation, medium body.
