2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Single bottle purchased at a Whole Foods Market at Kimball Junction, Utah on 11/03/2012. Colour: medium orange/brown with moderate size white head. Nose: candied fruit hops (maple and chocolate with oranges, cherries and peach), light used coffee grounds. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium-light bitter, medium-light sour. Not as sweet as predicted by the nose. Some immediate nut...pecan maybe? Hops show some low-key fruit but pretty subdued. Some soft caramel and a soapy note. Quite highly carbonated which just never cuts it for me. Very average stuff.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a bottle, aroma of bready malts and slight grassy hops. This beer pours a light gold cloudy color with a white head. The taste is a light sweet, bready taste from the malt with a slight bitterness. Overall a decent pale ale from Park City.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from a bomber thanks to Craig. This is a pleasant surprise, a great hop aroma right when I opened the bottle. The flavor is fruity, slight caramel sweetness, bready, and citrus. This is a well made pale ale. Well done Shades of Pale.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the Red Pine Lodge at the Canyons. Clean crisp taste of hops and pine. Poured a darkish golden color with little white head. Aftertaste was bitter and dry. I thought this was a nice pale ale. Glad to have gotten the chance to try this.

They have really fine tuned this beer since last time I had it. Aroma and taste is fruity, bisquity, light caramel and citrus. It is very smooth and easy to drink.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 27, 2012 Bottle: so this beer is much better and quite good now. A rich fruity nose of oranges and lemon. The flavor is smooth and clean, fruity hops, light biscuit. A very good Pale Ale.
On tap at the Bayou. Pours a clear straw color with a medium white head with some lacing down the side of the glass. The aroma is comes in like a Golden Ale- some sweet banana esters, light biscuit. The flavor is similar; a dry palate, earthy sweet banana esters, light bitterness throughout, some mellow biscuty malt. Easy drinking for sure, a bit different for a Pale Ale.
