tronraner (1399), (Louis-, Sevier-, Knox-)ville, Tennessee, USA Sep 8, 2006 Draught. Pours a greenish tint of yellow with lines of bubbles and a slight white head and falling legs. The aroma is vinous with light honey and faint fruity sweetness, occasional waft of sulfites. The flavor has a dry champagne-y quality to it, but the honey comes out in the finish. The apricot is very mellow; I probably wouldn’t have been able to isolate it had I not known it was there. Good to accompany the sushi with which it was consumed, but not a great mead on its own. NachlamSie (1344), Tennessee, USA Sep 7, 2006 On Draught. Pours a very light, clear yellow with a quickly fading spritzy head. There is just a medium level of honey in the aroma and a light dry, fruitiness. The mouthfeel is very dry and quite light. The honey is subdued for a mead. The apricot flavor is an afterthought more than anything. Mild alcohol burn is noticed.
