It’s a warm golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of cabbage/DMS, malt, sweet straw and cardboard. The flavor is watery, moderately sweet with harsh notes of citrus and malt and the finish is slightly dry.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Straw like appearance with a sweetness which could be irritating if you didn’t like sweet beers.Fortunately i do and I found this quite a pleasant drink.
Unusual label which reminded me of Russian stamps in the cold war days.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pops open with an initial shrubby noble hint fading into honey, hay, chamois leather. Rust and orange. Still gold with a white rim and a few spots of froth. Actually quite a reasonable commercial Czech/German-style pilsy lager with some fair hop and sweet biscuity/honeyish malt presence. Bit fizzless and metallic with some cardboard touches, but as Kazakh lagers go, pretty decent. Like I’d know. No screaming off notes or adjuncts. Is nice.
