Bottle from Russian grocery near Artis, Amsterdam. Bold golden body with big head. Nose is spicy, milky, grassy. Taste is spicy, sweet, malty, caramel. Pretty good blend. Gets a bit drier and papery in the near finish. Ends up sweet and syrupy. Okay.

gouden/ pisgele helder met minimale witte kraag
aroma: goedkope weeige pilsmouten, citrus, stro
smaken: matig zoet, licht bitter, licht gemout, peper, koriander
lichte body, dun, laag co2, afdronk: droog
goedkope pils(moutig) biertje.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Our last bottle (and the ugliest one) from our latest Russian shopping tour (thank God!). Clear golden-amber in colour with low head. Nose of light malt. Taste of mild hops, mild orange peel, hay, low malt and ripe grains. Quite metallic finish.

Bottle 50cl, a clear yellow beer with low head. Nose is a bit vegetable like. Aroma is on barley sugar, sweet, corny, boring, less hopy, soapy finish.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him and luttonm. Another Monolith beer...great...Pale golden coloured, small white head, touch of caramel and alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, crappy grainy and hint of caramel with short dusty finish. Crap as I’ve expected.

.5l bottle shared with Ogi and Marko. Fake Russian beer brewed in Germany? strange and kind of amazing. Tight creamy white. still yellow-urine pour. sweet, vinegary alcohol. creamy, hot body, vaguely russian-y grain i guess. wattery backbone. very odd.

Another one from the Russian store in Vienna. Dull golden body, tiny white head, 1 bubble going up at a time. Great. Alcohol in the nose. This is 5.5%. WHAT THE!?!?!?!? Sweetish, yet light. But mostly alcohol. FUUUUUUUU.... More alcohol in the taste, malt otherwiese, tiny grainy notes, tastes like 7-8%, not 5.5%, and that’s not a good thing. Why?

Golden colour with a white head. Fruity and a bit citrus nose. Malty background in the flavour.

(bottle, thanks marce!) pours a clear yellow colour with a frothy white head. aroma of powdered sugar and pale malts, light caramel and grain, with some faint vegetal notes. flavour is mostly the same, lots of powdered sugar, pale malts, a hint of honey, some stewed broccoli and a light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.
