Black India Pale Ales, also known as Cascadian Dark Ales, are a dark version of an American IPA. Made with pale, crystal, and de-bittered black malts, this beer has a dark color but lacks the rich roasted flavor typical of Porters and Stouts. The addition of Cascade, Simcoe, and Amarillo hops adds an American hop profile of earthy and citrus flavors and aromas. 6.2% ABV.

Your typical bold-flavored and bitter American Black IPA with predominant resin and roasted barley and chocolate malt character. Full, chewy body, sweet, bitter and relatively low carbonation leave the mouth assaulted and fatigued as sweet dark cara malt goop and bitter vegetable hop oils linger. Deep brown body with a short head. From draft at the brewery in 2010.
