Poured a dark mahogany colour with a big frothy tan head. The aroma is a little odd and smells rather like stale beer! I was worried. However the flavour more than made up for any deficiency in the aroma. It was uber malty and buttery with low bitterness and I must say very satisfying! The palate was smooth with lots lingering malty bitterness. Quite a find!
