Cask, hand pulled at The Wellington,17th january.Copper colour pour with no head.Malt aroma which came through in the taste with caramel also featured. Background toffee flavour and ended with a bittersweet aftertaste.Have to agree with previous rater about first taste or so being different but when your palate sorts it out it makes for a nice drink.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear copper colour with virtually no head and zero carbonation. The aroma is rich and malty leading to a low bitter, malty flavour with some toffee and caramel notes. The first mouthful was a bit of a shock, but it rapidly grew on me and towards the end I really enjoyed it. It’s wont be everyone’s favourite, but I liked it and I’d order another!
