2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is the ale of choice for some of my older acquaintances. Donít quite get it myself. Toffee coloured with a head that quickly fades and little aroma. Medium to watery bodied, with pleasant caramel and hop flavours but negligible finish.

500ml bottle as part of a selection pack from the brewery online shop. Clear amber, short-lived white head. Aromas are light red fruit, sweetness. Taste is sweet too. Something bready going on. Didnít want to hate this, and I donít really, itís just not very good.

If I could imagine what horse piss mixed with bud in a warm glass at room temperature tasted like it would have more flavour than this.

Bottle from sainsburys. Mahogany coloured pour with a white head. Sweet malt aroma with a splash of caramel and fruit. Fruit and caramel flavour. Exceedingly ordinary run of the mill stuff.

Orange but with no head really. The aroma is weak but slightly fruity. Taste is ok but nothing special. Lively palate.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Waitrose. Clear amber body with a thin white head that quickly fades. Very light carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of toast, nuts and the merest hint of red fruits. Flavour of wood and brown bread. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Bland and boring. Itís better on cask, but still dull.

I'm slightly biased towards this beer as it's from Cornwall, but this is an easy drinking session beer with just the right hints of flavour to not be over powering.
