I'm slightly biased towards this beer as it's from Cornwall, but this is an easy drinking session beer with just the right hints of flavour to not be over powering.

Etwas dünn, malzig-erfrischend, aber kaum Tiefgang und auch kaum typische Bitter-Aromen. Langweilig. Leider.

A bit watery without being refreshing. Minimal taste so would not recommend

Pours pale amber with a white head which quickly disappears into a ring. Aroma of cereal malt, hint of hops and orange. Taste of mild bitterness, cereal and dry malt, mildly fruity and a bit of grassy hops. Flavour is really lacking. Whenever I’ve had it on tap its been great, so its pretty disappointing that the bottles would be so poor in comparison.

Pretty decent ale. Nice head on a copper body. Smells like shandy and doesn’t taste much stronger. Slightly too fizzy for my taste but much better than I expected. Quite a caramel hit with a sweet, roasted malt kick. Gets even better as it heats up a bit and the fizz dies down. I’ll definitely buy again.

500ml bottle. A very English ale, lightly hopped but with a strong malt character. The malt is fruity, the hops in the background. Lightly carbonated, this beer has a pleasant depth and vicscous mouthfeel.

I certainly prefer the cask version. Doom Bar from the bottle is drinkable and nice enough, it has a nice copper colour and it is malt and caramel with a bit of orange in the taste, however it is somewhat watery feeling in the mouth. Alright but nothing special.

Final beer of 2013. Bottle from Tesco. Pale copper beer with medium head. Aroma of mild toffee ad malts. Taste is malts, a little toffee and some orange fruits. Quite a bit of carbonation. OK beer.
