2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Nice toasty aroma, smells hoppy and interesting. But the taste is watery - almost nothing there at all. And it’s weak and oily on the palate. Not up to much - sorry.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 500ml. -Amber coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, hint of fruits in the nose. Moderate malty, caramel and slightly sweet fruity with pleasant spicy notes. Bitterish finish. Not bad.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 6/20
2 year old bottled conditioned. Mirky orange nut brown. Very lively, probably too carbonated for the style. Aromas of sharp green apple. Flavour is a little funky, so the bottle is probably past it’s best.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle (500ml from Morissons):
A light mix of malts, toffee and bread. Not really much depth to this one but it’s not offensive either.
Darkish amber red colour with a pinky sized, bubbly white head that stays consistent throughout.
Malts to begin with, there is a little spice in there too and a hint of caramel. There is some fruit too and a little bread. Again the taste is pretty basic and very much like a typical English bitter.
Smooth and slightly sweet with a touch of spice. The carbonation levels are medium and the finish is a slightly dry one.
A basic English bitter here and nothing to get particularly exciting about it. It was an easy drink to consume and goes down well despite being a little plain.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nice amber red colour and a creamy coloured head. The taste was initial bitterness and caramel, followed by crisp toasted cereal mixed with malt. A great session beer. Easy to drink.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier - clear dark amber beer with no foam left; shy flowery and caramelish aroma; thin-bodied and pretty tasteless; subtle yet fair carbonation; gently bitter and pretty sharp finish where hints of red fruits and caramel show up - very modest to stay polite

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared with McTapps. Pours in light brown with small head. Aroma of toffee and honey. Taste is sweetish so you must like something like that. I do.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Hazelnut brown in colour, no head. Taste of sweet, roasted nuts combined with some floral touch. Very sweet, hardly any bitterness to be found. I like it, though it may be boring after a while. Very quaffable.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
[500ml bottle, gift from Lesley - cheers!] Pours a reddish-amber with a swiftly vanishing off-white head and a fair amount of fizz. Toffee from the off, with rather a lot of butter, and then some nice oaky, woody notes. There’s a little twist of lemon and a touch of earthy bitterness in the finish.. Unfortunately there’s the metallic hint of pasteurisation hanging over it, which is a shame - this could be a decent beer if bottle conditioned.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light brown colour. Quite a fresh fruity aroma. Well balanced, quite malty and has a light sweetness. Very nice, smooth mouthfeel. Great session bitter.
