2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, dark, amber golden with an off-white head leaving some lacework. Aroma of nuts and malts. Medium body with a fairly solid malt base and notes of caramel and nuts. Rather solid bitterness. Unfortunately the beer comes with a distinct fustiness, perhaps due to the clear glass bottle. 020707
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 harrisoni (10911) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 26, 2007
500ml bottle from Franglais, Calais. This used to be one of my favourite session bitters. How does it cope with being filtered and pasteurised? Amber colour with lasting thin off whtie head. Candy sugar, tea and earthy hop aroma, but there’s not that mouthfeel of a cask conditioned beer. Still, I like the hop profile on this beer. Some brown sugar in the mouth. Sharpish herby hop on finish. But it’s pasteurised and it ruins it. Some choc malt.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 beermouth (435) - Langeskov, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2007
Slight copper and yellow with a nice white head. Hay, lemon, grass and spices. Nice mild but the bitterness that you would expect to find. Pleasent one.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 StueyD (812) - Heacham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2007
A mid amber brown coloured beer with a thick, frothy white head. A strong perfumed nose, floral, with hints of candy floss and sticks of rock! The taste is bitter, but floral and goppy, the sweet flavour comes through, chocolatey, and again, candy floss and boiled sweets! The finish is perfumed and bitter sweet. (Bottle - purchased from Morrison’s, King’s Lynn for £1.59 a bottle)
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 KnutAlbert (5186) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 5, 2006
Draft at Kensington Arms, London. Nice round, but tasty bitter. Full malt, with some treacle sweetness, but the hops have both flowers and a fine bitterness. A good session bitter.

a realy good beer, light flavour, slightly sweet malt flavour, slightly bitter in the end, strong feeling that you drink good quality beer
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 imdownthepub (8470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2006
Bottled, pasteurised. Brown gold with white head. Mid roasted malty bitter, quite sharpish on the edges though, there is a little tinnyness in the flavour and a slight flavour of boiled vegetation. A little hop to close out with, it is easily drinkable, but also a little unrefined.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hughie (3994) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 5, 2006
Amber with a white head. Malty aroma and taste. Plenty of flavour but rather rough and spicy in character. A little sourness and a lot of fizz. Medium bitterness. Only fair.

Bottle. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is caramel and bitter and the flavour is caramel, slightly spiced and very dry. Overall a good refreshing beer when chilled.
