Lovely, sweet, simple tasting. Deep and crisp flavour that rolls off the tongue and begs you to have another bottle.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from Tesco; clear dark amber pour with a thin off white head, aroma has wet grass and stewed fruit, taste doesn’t have much really quite insipid, a hint of lemon, sweet malt and tasteless plums, I’m sure this is equally as bad on cask.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Better than I expected from clear glass - a lightly nutty-malty nose with a hint of grassy hops, nice balance of dry-sweet malt and a light bitterness. Decent quaffing bitter.

Butelka. Barwa bursztynowa, klarowna. Aromat słodowy. Piana biała niska. W smaku głównie wyczuwalny słód z wyraźna, niewysoką goryczką. Piwo bardzo przeciętne.

0.5l bottle. Amber color with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, hoppy and slightly toasted. Taste is caramel and biscuits with light bitterness. Overall it’s decent beer, but nothing special.

Another English ale I do like from cask and it was the last time I drank it from the bottle. Why do they pour it into colourless glass bottles? Milky notes, flat, tiring malty aftertaste, old hops. Why?

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle purchased and consumed in Serbia. Pours Amber clear, little ivory head. Nose: a bit of roasted malts, resin far away, thin. Mouth: watery, roasted notes, elegant bitter closure. Not terrific!

Doom bar is a safe option, nothing adventurous and pretty loose and smooth. Decent toffee taste

A wonderful and very drinkable amber beer. Toffee notes make the beer very appealing. Gentle bitterness on the palate rounds off a great beer.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s.
CLEAR BLOODY BOTTLE AGAIN. Pours light brown with single finger white head. Aroma of biscuit and light malts. Initial light vanilla flavour, then some fizz, toffee, caramel, fruits of lemon and orange. ok.
