This is my favourite beer, and when served properly is a true classic of its type. The ratings I have given I truly believe. This beer has everything.

A very very nice beer, dark in colour, but light flavour and easy to drink! One of Sharps best!

Lovely, sweet, simple tasting. Deep and crisp flavour that rolls off the tongue and begs you to have another bottle.

Smooth taste with some bitter and malty background. Full palate with some grassy nutes. Medium-long finish. Snowy white head, thick, stays long on top. Copper colour.

Aroma: Rich malty, light hops, dark fruit, Appearance:Clear copper, small off-white head. Taste: Medium bitterness, slight malt sweetness, light fruitiness, medium dry finish Palate: Medium low carbonation, light body. Overall: A nice aroma, good taste, but I expected a bit more flavour. But I will happily drink a few. 500 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Andre!

I'm a big fan of Doom but it is bitterly disappointing in a bottle. Cask is much much superior. Still the same old Doom but just missing some oomph! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A decent British real ale. Taste dominated by the malts, leaves a bready taste. Tried this with Paul on the boat on the Thames (11-9-11)

Bottle.Bitter with a sharp ( excuse the pun ) lating bitterness. After drinking a lot of average bitters this one really stood out.A very pleanant surprise.

Poured into pint Nonic glass, at cellar temperature. Deep russet, with medium white head, some lacing. Aroma of malt with only light hops, carried through to the flavour, with a hint of dessert apple. Full bodied and malty sweet, perhaps due to high mashing temperature. A very British beer!
