On tap @ The Swan, London. Clear amber body, small white head. Nose is nuts, nougat, bread and hints of biscuits and straw. Taste is caramel, almond essence, bread crust, biscuits and hints of nuts and straw. Light body, soft carbonation. Pretty standard bitter with an almondy touch. Pretty boring, but fair enough.

ON TAP Well balanced beer. It is one of my favorites. Easy drinking. Some bitterness on final, but not too much, which makes a very good beer. Worth a try.

From cask at Heathrow. Pours a mostly clear darker amber color with white head. Caramel malts and cereal grains on the nose with just a little grass; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a little bitterness and some malt balance.

Cask at Market Tavern, Durham, £3.29/pint. Leafy and grainy aroma and a dark brown appearance with decent white head. Taste is malty, subtly bittersweet and fruity with a pleasingly dry finish. Very good.
