Clear copper. Dense and persistent beige head and lacing. Subdued aroma, not helped by a conical glass. Taste is good, but equally subdued. A slight hint of sourness. Waterish mouthfeel.

An interesting brew in cask with a light bitterness on the finish. Pour is a bright yellow with a cask head of foamy off white. Light grassy and lempn flavors with a solid bitterness that finishes easily and crisp. Overall a good easy sipper.

Beese (1526) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2014
Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford. Poured a clear copper, with a thin white head. Very light aroma, there was some herbal note and lots of caramel and boiled sweets. Really sweet flavours; a really fake sugariness, slightly medicinal, with lots of flat malt. Finish was a weird hop bitterness, somewhat flowery and bubblegum. I can’t really recall if it was this awful before MolsonCoors took it over, but this really is the Fosters of top fermented beers (Greene King IPA being the Carling of top fermented beers).

Cask @ The Crown Rivers, LHR Terminal 5

Pours amber orange with a bubbly head. Aroma of bready malts, some grassy and earthy notes and spices. Taste is smooth, watery and bready malty with some grassy earthiness. Finish is watery and smooth with mild bitterness. Meh.

hazy amber orange-golden colour with a nice frothy off-white head with a good lacing. A light caramel, hint of roasty malt, fruity aroma and subtle floral hops. Quite oily with a soft carbonation and a light bitter finish. A bit bland for my liking and quite simple but I’d have it again.

A little bland. Quite disappointed. It has a nice colour but not much taste. It would be nice to drink with a meal.. Roasty, citrus,.

Cask at Flan O’Briens, Bath. Pours amber with white head. Malty aroma. Caramel malty flavor with some hops as well. Decent, but nothing special.
