Excellent Cornish beer, great all year round. Looks like a classic British ale, slight caramel flavour

Amber colour and thin white head. Sweet aroma, faint malts. Caramel and bready taste. Fairly soft bitterness, boring. One of the two beers that puts me off visiting Cornwall!

From cask @ The Diamond, Londonderry. Itís somewhat cloudy, or is. Amber and pretty close to glowing in the glass with a nice not too casky off-white cask head on the top. Really mild on the nose this. Hard to pick up anything really. A mild melon fruity sweetness, not much more. Tastes a bit more. It acts like a cask beer in the mouth, dead on the bubbles and somewhat thin on the mouthfeel. A mild red berry both fruity sweetness and fruity sourness. Almost like a raspberry thing going on. Works decent. A little chalky and dry in the aftertaste. Not too memorable to be honest, but an easy drinking casky beer this, and the more Iím drinking it, the more Iím enjoying it. 07.06.2016

Pours orangey brown with no head. Medium carbonation. Strong malt aroma. Balanced roast malt flavour with some mild bitterness in the finish.

Cask at the Crown Rivers, Heathrow airport, 20.4.16 Clear dark gold with a white head. Aroma of fresh malt and toast, very lightly bitter taste, biscuity and a little stale. Flattish, light-bodied, bready and a little stale aftertaste.

Poured from a cask at a pub outside the tower of London. No distinctive aroma, beautiful golden translucent color, short lived head but outstanding lacing. Taste is weak hops, as belied by the too-low ABV.

*On cask at Heathrow Terminal 5. Watery-mild beginning. Not too deep, round and smooth with not to much depth. Sessionable but somehow unround.

Yeah, so it is real ale, but I have supped Doom Bar on many occasions, at many different outlets and havenít enjoyed a pint yet. Tastes like watery medicine.

Bought from a busy pub in Barking The Spotted Dog before the football. Hayfever dulled the senses. Had this on many occasions so nothing new here. Simple slightly watery taste with sharp edges. Not my favourite but letís blame the hayfever

Cask at Rose & Crown, Birmingham. Nose is caramelized malty. Body is clear amber, head is small, cream white, creamy, fully lasting, good lacing. Aroma is light malty, brown sugar, sweet water. Medium sweet, light bitter. Finish is short sweetish. Light body, creamy texture, nearly flat carbonation. Easy, refreshing, a bit poor.

Heldere koper kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt zoetig, mout, kruiden. Smaakt zoetig, honing.
