Excellent Cornish beer, great all year round. Looks like a classic British ale, slight caramel flavour

Cask Bidford - light amber with small white head which disappears to just small lacing. No carbonation - smooth on tongue and in mouth. Sweet tasting, but no great lasting taste - ok.

The first is really nice refreshing of lacking in anything distinctive to describe , first tasted in Padstow Cornwall so could just be how I associate, after a couple though some unpleasant overly bitter build up on palate seems to change flavours and light and summery notes disappear

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2015 Just average really. No significant aroma. Slightly fruity I suppose. Ruby appearance. No head to talk of. Mildly bitter. Hints of fruits caramel and slight malt. Drinkable but very not special. Had second pint. Taste was better so upped rating by 0.2.Third pint still bland so score reduced. Four that pint so must be doing something right . Rating upped.

On tap @ The Swan, London. Clear amber body, small white head. Nose is nuts, nougat, bread and hints of biscuits and straw. Taste is caramel, almond essence, bread crust, biscuits and hints of nuts and straw. Light body, soft carbonation. Pretty standard bitter with an almondy touch. Pretty boring, but fair enough.

ON TAP Well balanced beer. It is one of my favorites. Easy drinking. Some bitterness on final, but not too much, which makes a very good beer. Worth a try.

Cask at The Dyers Arms, Leek. A clear amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of fruity malt, caramel, slight plum and some nuts. Taste of caramel, nuts, fruity malt and some earthy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A soft earthy bitterness in the finish. A standard bitter really, caramel and malty flavours.
