Cask at kenilworth ... At first i though this was the Cask version of the Honey wheat... what a disapointment ... very slight haze yellow ... light creamy head... light dry hop nose ... light fruity mellow hop with alittle honey ... little bitter ... no real spice .. quite disapointing.

Cask conditioned at Chambers Bar, Folkestone. Gold with white head. Initially a weird tartish note which sort of moves towards gooseberry and an underlying peppery note. Some corriander and hints of Maynards wine gums. Then Ginger, too much for me.

Cask at the Rake, 31 July 2009. Wasn’t entirely sure which version I had but, as Tom’s rating is here, I guess it was this one. In fact I think the other, stronger version is the bottled one so some ratings may be in the wrong place. Which ever one it was, I wasn’t very impressed. Pale, gold, lumpy. Not much spice. Nothing to write home about. I’d like to try the stronger bottled one as it seems to have been getting some good reviews.
