Cask at the Half Moon, Windlesham - 09/04/12.
Clear pale gold colour with a small white head.
Grassy nose with light malts and background hops.
Straw, malt and citrus in the taste.
Medium body and carbonation.
Decent beer but didn’t really think pilsner - hop profile not quite right for it!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Leighton (6986) - London, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2012
Cask at the Red Lion, Twickenham, London. Pours clear yellow with a fine, white cream head. Has a nice biscuity malt nose with straw hops. Medium sweet flavor with some perfumey hops, straw, biscuits, dough, strawberries (weird, I know), and white sugar. Sugary sweet finish with mild cereal and biscuits, and hay bitterness. Basic stuff, but quite alright on a hot day.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, herbal and mildly fruity with some slight toasted notes. Flavour is rather similar. Tastes more of a golden ale than a pilsener.

Cask @ The Kings Arms, Fulham Road. Light amber color with a wispy white head that completely dissipates. A third of the way into the pint and it looks like I’m drinking pasteurized apple juice. The nose is quite floral and herbal, some orange and syrupy grain. The taste is sweet orange rind, plenty of green apple. Sugary breakfast cereal. It certainly succeeds in reminding me of the pilsner flavor profile. Very soft, easy to drink. Overall, interesting beer.

Cask at the Fountain, Gornal. Pours gold with a large head. Aroma is straw, pale malt and some light citrus. Taste has light lemon and straw. Easy drinking and refreshing.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Vladivostok (156) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 2, 2012
Tastes exactly what it is, a comparatively warm, de-fizzed and unpasteurised lager sold through handpumps. Head was quite thin and didn’t last long and the beer had that typical lagery mid-mouth bitterness. Interesting.

Cask in The Merchant, Clapham. Pours very pale clear amber. Nose is grassy, soapy, lemon and citrous hops. Taste is grassy, citrous and a soapy taste in the finish. It’s got an oily texture in the mouth even though it’s quite light.
