3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 JFGrind (1726) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 18, 2012Nitro draft poured a thick beige head, brown body with chocolate, bourbon undertones and strong sweet malts. Many stout qualities to this beer which has me question why it is labelled a porter.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2012 Sample on draft at The House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a small creamy tan head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was coconut, vanilla, malted milk and light chocolate. The flavor was moderately bitter and toasty with notes of coconut, vanilla, chocolate syrup, bourbon, malted milk and raisin. There was a light boozy presence that did note distract too much. The fish was long with coconut, vanilla, cocoa and raisin lingering. Thick, smooth and creamy body. Excellent.
