3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the perfect pour - I had this one a while back and all I remember was a lingering sense of disappointment in this one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear light gold. Aroma of slightly herbal and peppery sweet honey. Nice flavor of mild burning alcohol with some semisweet honey and herbal spices. Just a nifty and pleasant mead.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle. I have to admit when I first saw that this was made in Washingtonville, NY, I knew that was the home of Brotherhood Winery and had my doubts about how good this mead could be. Happily, I was wrong. This mead pours a clear brilliant gold with no head. It is a still mead. Pleasant but mild aroma of honey. The flavor is somewhat subdued but is appropriate with honey that is not too sweet and has just a bit of earthiness to it. Dries out just a bit as it approaches the finish. Enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very nice shade of light golden, looking vinious and smelling so. Almost detecting some wood. Smells rubbery like latex in a good way. Subdued honey is mellow and mild. Surprisingly dry and complex aroma with apples keeping it grounded. Nice palate is moderately thick without any hint of stickiness or heaviness. Smooth and not hot at all. Off-dry and the honey is not in your face. Lots of tropical fruits, including carambola, custard apple, nashi, and under ripe pear. Very nice mead.

Light gold colour. The aroma is of kiwi, papaya and pear. Very melony body, sweet and complex. The most fruity non-fruited mead I have ever encountered. A fun tej.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Courtesy Oakes. Pours a clear pale gold, with a thinner looking appearance. Smells of a mix of honey, apple citrus, and a little oak in there too I think. The flavor is very sharp, almost a little stinging on the palate. A little earthy and slightly peppery to go along with the honey flavors and sweet caramel. The finish is a bit fruity with a little alcohol heat left on the tongue. Not a bad mead at all. Not as rich as Id normally like, but definitely got some interesting flavors going on here. Also cool to be the first rater for this.
