Sampled at Siptemberfest 2011 - Poured a very dark black/brown in color with a small tan head that stuck around to produce some lacing. Aroma of citrus hops and roasted malts. Flavor pretty much matched the same... very well balanced. A very good BIPA...

Sampled at Siptemberfest. Poured almost black with a tiny ring of mocha colored head. Strong, bitter grapefruit hop aroma. I love black IPAs because I enjoy the combination of hop bitterness and roasted malt and this did not disappoint. Palate was on the heavy side with a bitter finish.

On tap at the brewpub. The clear winner by far in the lineup. Fresh, with chocolate malt. The odd bitterness still there. Dark dunkleweizen looks with lots of lace. Aroma of soap in the water, and grapefruit. Mouthfeel normal medium. The grapefruit has some acidity.
