chronictonic (350), Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, USA May 31, 2005 An English Old Ale. Again, seeing that this beer was slammed before, my guess is that improvements have been made at the Shed. While an English Old ale isn’t my favorite style, I thought this was a decent beer (it was my wife’s favorite beer - and she’s picky and beer knowledgeable!). Deep ruby red color, sweet malt aromas. Mild and subtle english hopping (my guess is EKG). freekyp (792), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA Jul 1, 2004 Oh man, this smells like cheese. Hazy amber with small off-white head, this medium bodied brew has an astirgent finish and is harshly acidic throughout. As with the rest of the brews I tried on this pub vist, there was an underlying sewery and rusty quality. Lightly sweet malt diminshed quickly lending way to overly acidic finish.
