jonnabrix (124), Newberrytown, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 11, 2006 On draft at the brew-pub, this was a slightly cloudy gold color, with small white head. This was spicy, with some sweet malt and fruit, a little yeast. Good all around. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jul 23, 2006 Vermont Brewer’s Fest 2006, draught sample. Another saison from the Shed? Who would have thought....pours near-opaque gold with a touch of lasting head....dry, earthy-twiggy, lightly farmy and pungent aroma, grassy hops apparent (saaz?), faint dry orange hints....the body is much the classic Dupont style, lightly sweet, very refreshing, mostly dry fruits and light spicing, touches of the mineralic qualities that sometimes overwhelm this brewer’s beers but are a nice compliment here, strong but fluffy carbonation and light to medium body....nothing remarkable here, just a solid rendtion of an old friend.
