COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after one of the famous ’front four’ trails on Mt. Mansfield, this I.P.A. is brewed in the English tradition of pale ales shipped from Britain, around Africa, to India. Those ales contained extra hops and a higher alcohol percentage, which both served as natural preservatives. This ale holds true to those original, defining characteristics. Formerly "National IPA".

12 ounce bottle purchased at the Rouses Point Beer Emporium. This bottle is about a month old with bottled on day #124. The aroma is a little sweet with a bit of a soapiness before it becomes pretty darn earthy and a little spicy with hops. Scantly hazy copper body with a medium off-yellow head. Starts with a little spicy and herbal hop flavors. Becomes a little toasted in the middle with some light malt huskiness. Finishes with more herbal and earthy bitter hop flavors. Mild to high bitterness. A well-crafted IPA, but it’s fairly standard and nothing that is mind-blowing. Good nonetheless.

12 oz bottle from Case N’ Keg in Merdith, NH. Ruby/orange pour. Surprisingly minimal aroma; light cascade hops, grapefruit. Taste is lemon zest, grapefruit, amarillo hops with a strong bitterness in the finish. It’s pretty decent.

Very light aroma. Golden pour from 12oz bottle. Light colored foam with slight lacing and alcohol legs. Over the top hop bitterness, extremely crisp with little to no malt flavor

Bottle. Dark amber color, cloudy, and a little thick. Mildly assertive hops but not overpowering.

Bottle via state line..nice looking pour..fairly large head.2 finger plus..lots of particles floating around..I wouldn’t exactly say the aroma is brimming with citrus hops like the label claims..but..nose is a mix of bready malt..taste is ok..not very complex..probably wont get again..makes me long for another cloudy ipa from the great state of Vermont..

Light, fruity, hoppy aroma. The flavor is a bit too sweet for me. A bit syrupy. Overall not bad.

Pours amber with a thin head. Malthus aroma with some biscuit and caramel. Flavor follows with a balance of hops. Very thin, was hoping for better.

Refreshing! Medium bodied beer that’s easy on the palate, leaving a wonderful bitter hoppy note to finish. Great find for the summer! Thanks Mark for recommending this beer. Highly recommended!

Very minimal grapefruit aroma. Cloudy unfiltered with bits of hop residue floating throughout. A bit of a dry crisp finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
