3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer is a legend in Stowe, one of the best ski resort towns in New England, and rightfully so. Dark, sweet and complex in flavor, this is the perfect high-alcohol brew to enjoy after a long day of snow shredding. Some of the flavors donít quite work, but you really canít go wrong with this.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught. Pours a murky brown color with a small off white head. English malt lingers in the aroma, sugar characteristics, plum and fig. Initial taste of spices, dark fruit, caramel and malt sweetness. Mid palate to finish is lightly hoppy and mildly balanced. Head retention and palate are average. Light to medium body. Interesting but not their highlight.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Arvardís Grille and Pub in Waterbury, Vermont. Pours a dark mahogany-brown with decent beige head and a good amount of lacing. The head fades after 3-4 minutes but the lacing stays with the entire session. Aroma of malts and cocoa. Medium mouth feel. Flavor seems like a mix of hops, buts, and raisins. Dry finish. Decent overall.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
In what seems to be the typical Shed style it was not very carbonated and had a sweet malt flavor. Easy enough to drink anyway.
