COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An English-style strong ale. This brown ale has great malt depth and drinks like a session beer.

Pretty good brown ale.... hopefully price of 6-pack will decrease in the future. Needs maple!

Pours a dark amber from the tap, lots of malty sweetness, caramel nose, a little strong alcohol. Good beer.

Hazed chestnut appearance with an average size beige head and good lacing. Subtle aroma of molasses and caramel. Flavor is modestly sweet and earthy with notes dark fruit, nuts and brown bread. Alcohol seems pretty well hidden, but calling it a session beer in the commercial description is misleading when it clocks in at 7.4%. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel that leads to an average length finish. Left a cloying aftertaste

Roasted fruity malt aroma. Brown ruby red body. Sweet and spice upfront which is quite different. Has a soft silk mouth-feel.Sort of a boozy feel in background. Finish is mildly bitter and leaves you wanting more. Very drinkable and at this abv be careful.

Bottle from Waterbury Beverage Warehouse. Aroma: toffee, caramel, sugar. App: brown - Coca Cola-ish color with small white head and some lacing. Taste and palate: Medium body, medium sweetness with light short sweet finish. Overall: Not too sure about this one, Feels like I’m going to drink a Scotch ale than the taste fades away. Even though my expectations weren’t high I’m a light disappointed.

Enjoyed in Vermont. Definitely unfiltered with lots of floating particles. Copper colour with a light beige head and some creamy lacing. Aromas of fruity malts with hints of roasted ones. Some caramel as well and nuts. Much of the same for the taste. A nice mix between a brown and red ale.

Aroma: intense caramel and toffee malts. Appearance: hazy dark brown, medium, beige head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: intense grains and bread. Overall: nice Old Ale, excellent aroma. Pint at Big Brew, Morristown.

Dank aroma of malt, earth, chocolate and the alcohol is effervescent. Thick and malty texture. Sticky palate. Taste is slightly metallic and sweet...weird combination. Finishes malty again with cocoa and oak. It is strong.
