An English-style strong ale. This brown ale has great malt depth and drinks like a session beer.

Darker pour. Some caramel notes. Pretty straightforward. Not very strong at all and definitely on the malty side.

Sample @ PGH Beerfest. Pours brown with a thin head. Nice nutty and malty aroma. Taste is pretty enjoyable with roasted nut and malt flavors. OK but not the best one out there.

Small is nutty deep and robust. Hints of wood in there as well. Rich brown color. Nutty taste with nice malt profile finish. Taste could linger on tougue all day and wouldn’t complain. Has the potential to be one of the best brown ales. Nice brew.

Pours brown with a slightly reddish tint, with minimal, but lacy white head. Aromas are malty sweet caramel and mild nuttiness. Flavor is similar - sweet and bready qualities. Finish is clean and fairly dry. Pretty decent stuff.

Coffee notes dominate, some molasses and a bit of brown sugar as well. A bit of nuttiness. Kinda like a cross between a brown ale and a porter. Can’t decide if I like this one or not.

This poured a lighter brown color with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts and dark fruit. Flavor similar, sweet, drops off quickly.

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a huge yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, brewmash, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, bread, and fruit, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of cocoa and caramel. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa and caramel with a smooth lingering cocoa finish.

Bottle - 12oz. Hazy copper body with a thin, off-white foamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with caramel and woody hints. Its relatively robust malty/hoppy taste carries woody, brown sugar, and some fruity notes. Ends with a moderately warming, bittersweet finish. Not bad.

Malty aroma with toast and nuts. Nice brown ale body with some fruits along with nuts and malt. Good lingering finish. Good full bodied brown.
