This was a very interesting and enjoyable beer. Pored a dark amber/orange color with a small whitish head. The nose was yeast and dark fruit (plums). Flavor was bready plums, cherries, carmel, spices, leather, and earhty funk. Tart finish that mellows out a ton after about ten minutes. Very nice.

Hand bottle shared from the brewer courtesy of weeare138. Poured a darker and cloudy amber color with a very small sized off white head. Aromas of leather, light plums, light spices and a very light sulfur quality to it. Tastes of fruits, stronger plums, and some spices. On the sweet side with a light tart finish.

Much thanks to grassrootsvt for this hand bottled beauty from the brewer...
Appears an amber color with a haze. A small, soapy white head with some scattered lacing.
Smell is a tad leathery with definite Belgian yeast strains and light fruity plums.
Taste is pretty nice. Nice yeasty plum with lots of sugary goodness and a mild tartness.
Mouthfeel is smooth and sugary with an awesome fruity Belgian linger that makes me grab another one asap.

Thanks to weeare138. Hand bottled by the brewer. Pours a hazy orange brownish amber with a very small barely there head. Aroma of belgian yeast, coriander, caramel, Flavor is spicy, plums, sweet a little watery on the palate.

Half-tulip glass at the brewery (I got the last dregs of the keg, yeah baby). MAssive fine white head, fully lasting, atop a dark cloudy amber body....spicy-sweet aroma, plums and coriander and rosemary, with growing sourdough character as it warms....very, very smooth, somewhat sticky mothfeel, with the tongue treated to sour plummy-cherry flavors, spices, licorice and a touch of warming alcohol, caramel....grows more tart as it warms....creamiest (too smooth?) mouthfeel I can remember in a Belgian-style beer, almost sticky at times, very low carbonation....ends up almost as much in character a Flemish Sour as a Saison. Strange creation; quite memorable if not quite great.

(Rating #403)
