2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask. A light golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits and elderflowers as well as lighter notes of sulphur. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and citrus fruits, leading to a dry and bitter finish where the elderflower notes lingers.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2007. Pale gold, no head. No condtion. My first Sheffield beer and not overly impressed. Bit farty, some citrus, gets better as it goes on. Dryish finish. Really not very good.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Cask conditioned handpump Gardeners Rest Sheffield 21/06/12. A straw coloured beer with a white head. There are lemony hops in this but otherwise there are rubber and fart notes. Must be shallowing, but it should be in prime condition in this pub.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask handpull, The Gardener’s Rest, Sheffield. Filmy gold with a foamy white layer. Mildly coniferous aroma. Piney hop to the fore scattered with lemon sherbet. Still and slightly bilious, soapiness to finish. Quite full at the strength. Quid a half. Nowt special but a decent pale bitter not skimping on hops.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask@Reading BF. Lightly hoppy and and quite dry. Malts are quite dry and earthy aswell. Dry throughout, tastes like its ingredients and nothing else, which is fine, but this was a a bit boring.

1.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Cask, gravity, at Nottingham Beer Festival ’07. Golden orange. Slightly hazy (and a sign warned us that this was the case). Aroma of urine. Watery fruit taste with a bit of ash and not much bitterness. Not too good.
