pjweaver (133), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2009 Definitely delivers on the name. Pint glass from bottle. Thanks to the old kmweaver blood relative for this one. Amazing aroma, smells of dark chocolate donut, complete with icing. hints of vanilla in both taste and aroma. Mostly opaque, with a mahogany/milky color. Sweet chocolate donut to the tongue, but the flavor dies quickly and the aftertaste turns to bitter burnt dark chocolate quickly. Does what it sets out to do. travita (1842), Frisco, Texas, USA Dec 14, 2008 Smell is grains, malts, chocolate, sweet, and doughnuts. Look is cloudy, brown, with a beige colored head. Taste is yeast, sweet, like a doughnut. Oily. Different but good. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Dec 7, 2008 The chocolate definitely shows through in this one along with a sugared element that I can definitely link to the planned donut flavor. Medium-bodied and smooth with the chocolate showing through again. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 18, 2008 (12oz. bottle, courtesy of mar) Pours a cloudy brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of a greasy fryer, rabbit food, chocolate, and nuts. Flavor of sugar, doughy, chocolate, and caramel malt. mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Oct 19, 2008 bottle thanks to daknole. black pour with no head. very funky yeasty scent with chocolate in the background. very sweet flavor with some orange and chocolate in the background. easy on the palate with a smooth finish. as it warms the beer does really taste like a chocolate donut. BMan1113VR (2718), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Oct 19, 2008 Odd bottle thanks to mar at bu11zeye’s place. Pours with a small, off-white head and a dark brown body. Very wierd beer. Aroma of marmite, yeast, chocolate, and dough. Taste is very wieerd with berries, chocolate and dough. Slightly fizzy. yobdoog (1415), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Oct 18, 2008 Thanks kmweaver. Was fortunate enough to receive two bottles to sample. Aroma is sweet totally reminiscent of a bakery, that is crazy. Sweet chocolate chip cookies. Taste is very sweet, lactose. Something different in taste like bread or yeast. Could be the whole donut icing and all right in there. Chocolaty and sugary. Overall delicious. michael-pollack (2588), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 11, 2008 12oz. Bottle: Aroma of chocolate, alcohol, and some sourness. Poured brown in color with a dense, creamy, tan head that lasted throughout. Sparkling. Good lacing. Tastes of bitter chocolate, malts, a little fruit, and a little sour mix. Light to medium body. Thin, chalky texture. Lively carbonation. Dry, bitter chocolate finish.
