Received in a trade from puzzl on 3/28/08. Huge thanks! It was on my want’s list. It was also on ChrisQ’s wants, so he asked me to bring it. Opened at Dr. Bills. Crazy bottle. Printed label says 1of 1, which could have been a joke by puzzl. Who knows. Looks like a handbottle, but with a lot of effort to create the label. Sticker on the bottle cap says barrel aged. I’m eager to try it. Pours light amber color, with mild carbonation. Sweet. A bit buttery possibly from the oak. Yummy.

2007 vintage bottle courtesy of Matt7215. Medium brown with a bubbly head and significant lace. Initially a chocolate donut, and then a controlled sourness, with malt and sugar. Good balance, like an old age and not like the sahti. A unique one.

Muddy light brown. Smells somewhat hot, slightly mapley and a bit muddled. Sweet, mapley and a little hot on the palate. Raisiny middle and a firm alcoholic finish. Quite a bit of muddy yeastiness.

Bottle, special, at Dr. Bill’s. Coffee cake aromas and lovely rich cakey body including rum soaked cake, carrot cake nuttiness, and also some brandy. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours a dark copper/redish almost clear. No head whatsoever. Aroma is that of malts, figs, and berries with heavy notes of vanilla. Flavor is nothing short of fantastic, near perfection sweet, malty, creamy with butterscotch. Extremely smooth, almost like sipping bourbon. Alcohol is pretty well masked.
