2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle, bubly head, murky rusty orange with brown taints, herbal and dairy aroma, flavour of caramel, stale bread and soap, strong coarse bitterrness, short bitter aftertaste. Drinkable but probably way over the hill.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Stable tan head over hazy copper body. Aroma of honey malts and alcohol, hops basically absent, smells like a Belgian strong ale. Tastes sweet and full bodied. Caramel and honey, again very low hop flavor, possible oxidation. Palate cloying and sticky. All in all, not very good.
My bottle was dated best until 10.2012 (in less then a month) so it’s possible it’s old. Batch ref number 120327, if anyone wants to check. I’ll try to re-rate this beer if I find a fresher batch.
