Two Cask Pints at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Apr 2013 during Spoons Festival - Orange-Amber in colour. Very Hoppy; piney resinous and grassy hops. Fruity; tangy zesty grapefruit and orange citrus. Malty backbone; toasty malts and caramel. Distinct hop bitterness throughout. Long bitter hoppy and dry finish. Liked this a lot. Nice IPA!

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Amber with a moderate white head. Peach and flowers up front, a sweet juicy, fruity middle, and a mildly bitter grapefruit & pine finish. Sweeter & less hoppy than many IPAs. A very British take on an American IPA, focussing more on balance and drinkability than aggressiveness. The alcohol is well hidden, and itís tasty and rather moreish. Good stuff.

Cask at Penderelís Oak, JDW - London. Pours clear, deep gold with a tight, creamy head. Ripe citrus on the nose, some doughy malts, lightly toasted bread. Medium sweet flavor with further doughy bread, ripening orange, some piney bitterness. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Lightly sticky finish with hints of alcohol, more orange and pine. Decent.

Cask @ A G Bell, Edinburgh [090413]
Amber, dense white head, clear, good lacing
Aroma of soft caramel malts, very soft hops, no way a US-style IPA
Taste of soft caramel malts, some bitter hops, soft fruity, alcohol is well hidden, good drinkability
Palate - medium body. Finish of bitterish hops, smooth.
Overall - Itís actually quite a good beer - but itís really non US

Cask. Pale red shade with a head that leaves lots of lace. Fruity aroma with a taste like citrus and light strawberry jam. Tangy and resinous hop bite with sticky malt backing it up. Tasty and drinks a little easier than the strength.
