Cask: Special - 2011 JDW Autumn Beer Festival.
Matt Cole, from Fat Head’s Brewery, has travelled to Shepherd Neame Brewery (Kent) to brew this beer especially for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. This golden-coloured beer is based on a British recipe, yet hopped with American varieties, resulting in a tropical fruit aroma which leads you to a slightly nutty, malty flavour and a pleasing citrus hop finish

On cask at the Counting House in Glasgow. Pours a golden colour with a lacy white head. Aroma of apples, yeast, barley and caramel. A similar caramel flavour with light barley and some treacle. Mild carbonation and very thin. Not my thing.

Cask, The Francis Newton, Sheffield, UK. Wetherspoon Ale Festival. Deep golden, sweet aroma of honey and orange. Smooth with a mellow honey flavour. Sweet, then some gingery bitterness st the end.

Cask at Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Pours clear honey-gold with a faint head. Bready straw aroma. Medium sweet flavor, dough, light toast, bit of earth and hay. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, sugary finish, light woody citrus bitters. Decent.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2011 cask at standing order ... sharp golden yellow ... soft creamy light hop nose ... zezty citrus fruits ... creamy light malts ... light tropical hop linger tk 2 next day ... much the same. nice clean crisp hop 3.7 again
