Golden pour with a spice and fruit Aroma (Mostly peach).
A straw, bread and spice flavor that is accompanied by some hop and fruit. Interesting.

Cask at the Central Bar JDW, London. Clear yellow pour with a fimy head. Bready malt nose. Lightly sweet wih gingerbread and dry, grassy hops. Light in body with fine carbonation. Very dry, grassy finish with strong, lingering gingerbread notes. Nice beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol 10/11/10. Amber coloured with a small white head. Light citrus hop aroma with some sweet malts. Flavour had some more citrus fruit and a dryish finish. Not a lot going on given the ABV%.

From cask at Benjamin Huntsman, Sheffield. Pours slight cloudy (wasn’t quite settled in when I asked for it - so I assume it should have been clear). Aroma is peachy and citrusy fruity. Mild mango fruity and peachy flavoured. Mild bitterness and crisp citrus hoppy. Lingering fruity and crisp hoppy into the finish.

Cask Conditioned Gravity Dispense Eastgate Northampton. A clear orange coloured beer with a tiny off-white ring of head. There is a little citrus in the nose but it’s quite faint. Better in the mouth but not Earth shattering. There is decent citrus and some sweet malts and gloopy alcohol.

Cask at the Plough & Harrow (JDW) in Hammersmith. Deep gold with white head. Pine and herby hops on nose, then rounded and very well balanced malty and crisp hoppy body, with notes of peach and cloves. Great stuff.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 wheresthepath (1294) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2010
[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Golden amber with a thick, creamy off-white head and slight carbonation. Light and watery - there’s clearly a few hops in there with a vague pine, mint and green leaf ambience, but it’s surprisingly muted for a US brewer. Very disappointing - should it be called bland ambition?
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (6179) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2010
The Baron of Stinckley. Orange gold with a slender white foam. Grassy, limey hop aroma with straw and underlying biscuit. Watery at 5.5% but douses the 5-chilli heat of a JDW ’piri piri chicken curry’ (vindaloo) tastily; bright jellied orange and lemon sherbet hopping rounded with cream, wheat, biscuit. Impression of ground coriander. Clean and zesty, good hop notes but doesn’t follow through with the bitterness it needs.
